Golf is definitely a gentleman’s game and we don’t have any argument with that. But not all have the pleasure to play full golf and that’s why mini golf starts to break into the market.

Mini golf is a game for all of us. Playing mini golf in the Philippines is very good and awesome. No matter what’s your gender, age or anything you can think of! We can all play and enjoy golf! For you to become an expert in playing mini golf here are some pointers you may want to consider.

First you will need a scorecard, time to practice, rules and concentration.

Step 1

Study the course layout. Get a scorecard which indicates the pars for each hole and walk the course. Look for obstacles, direct paths and study how you can get into the hole the fastest. Take note of these obstacles and hole placements.

Step 2

When you are dealing with short distances, speed control is king! Take time to practice putts before the actual game for you to know whether the turf is slow or fast, and how hard you have to hit the ball. It is also a good practice to bring your own putter. Putters that are available on the field are often to tall or too short or in poor condition. So have your own putter always on the bag.

Step 3

Take time to read and understand rules of the game. If there is confusion, you may ask any of your friends or the admins. They will help you to understand things. Don’t play when you are confused.

Know the stroke limit for each hole and how far you are allowed to reposition the ball when it is pinned against the barrier. Learning these will definitely help you shave strokes off your score.

Step 4

When it is your turn, take into account the position of the hole, the distance to the hole, then line up your shot. Most courses let you place your ball anywhere within a designated tee off area, so find the position that gives you the best angle. Look for the direct paths that skip any obstacles and consider bank shots off barriers.

If there are unavoidable moving obstacles on the hole, watch them as long as you need to learn their patterns and timings.

Step 5

Get rid of distractions like noisy playing kids, and focus on your shot. Grip the putter securely and square up the club head, then stand tall and swing from the shoulders. Putting to hard can send your ball in all sort of crazy directions, so better use a nice and soft light touch which will leave you in a good position for your next shot!

With a little practice, planning and concentration, you’ll win a free game every time. So what’s your waiting for? Play mini golf Philippines now.
